What Encyclopedia Britannica can do to survive

Techcrunch reports that Britannica is going to be free for bloggers. It is a trick by them to some how drive up online subscription which costs $70 per year. They have been badly hit by wikipedia. According to Comscore, for every page viewed on Brittanica.com, 184 pages are viewed on Wikipedia (3.8 billion v. 21 million pave views per month).

They could well partner with Google Knol and share the revenue.
